The second one is the Combo Point System.
Another formal cost is introduced to encourage players to play multiple attacks.
For each attack the player plays, it will stack, allowing the player to play more free attack cards and also consume them with the finale card.
Well, since the player is coming for the mod, I just assume they want a relatively cozy experience, so the difficulty is aimed at around “Night of Full Moon.”
It is a mod based on the DBG "Slay the Spire."
My own personality makes me enjoy the feeling of making players sharp and aggressive in the game.
The Ironclad from the original parts somewhat meets the goal, but I also want it to be swift, faster (multi-hits), and aggressive.
With this as the main design core, this character comes with two unique resources that encourage the player to do more attacks.
The first one is the Bullet System
At the beginning of the design, this was used to restrict players from spending all their resources too quickly.
When the player runs out of bullets, one attack will be skipped.
It was more in line with the concept of resource.
Later, I felt that although this design conformed to intuitive reality, players had to be aware of it at all times, which caused a lot of negative feedback, and no one was pursuing realism in games.
Then I turned it into a resource that encourages attack.
When the player runs out of all bullets, the bullets will be refilled, and then the player gets a cost and draws cards.
This change makes the character's overall offense much smoother and receives way more positive feedback.
And since it is a mod, I added a chunk of neta into it and hope that when the player sees the cards, they can have a sincere smile.
First time properly encountering a design tool.
The bad news is that I wrote all the designs, including card data, in a Word document.
Yes, I know it was a super terrible move, and I have never done that again.
So… here is the good news: I have my own standard for designing things, and I have good memories of what I have done.
So, even though I was using the Word document, it is organized, and you can find everything you need in order.
